It's Friday... and it's totally time to stop what you're doing and take a look at this GORGEOUS photo of this little girl on the brand new website we just launched for Catherine J. Gross Photography from South China, Maine!
Catherine reached out to me a few weeks ago and was looking for me to take her Squarespace website up a notch. She wasn't in love with the colors and needed a new look for her brand new location and audience she was getting ready to move into.
Many photographers get very nervous moving to a new location, especially when they have established a customer-base in the area they were in previously. My best advice? Look at it from a different perspective than having to "start over." Look at it as a "new beginning" that many people actually don't have the opportunity to take advantage of! Catherine did JUST that and embraced her business, her new brand (courtesy of Kelsey at Honey Side Up Creative) and she fell in love with her website, which brought it all together.
Throw a Friday dance party for this one! I couldn't be more in love with the brand of the browns, tans, and golds that Catherine chose to represent her business. <3
SQUARESPACE DESIGN WORK DETAILS
- Template Chosen: Kent
- Why This Template: I initially sketched out Catherine's website to have the images starting at the top of the site, with the navigation and logo to follow. After Kelsey finished up the logo, I had to show off the beautiful metallic/gold of the logo, as it played off SO well in the color palette in her branding.
- CSS Coding: Yes! On the home page, we input some custom CSS code to make the transition of the feature images a bit more gradual and elegant. I also input coding in for the hover-over effect on the home page to navigate to different areas of the website.
- Fonts Chosen: Unna, Dancing Script, and New Cicle
Thank you for the opportunity to work with you, Catherine! Kelsey and I had an absolute blast and we are so in love with your new brand and website!
